Case 10. Exceptions from Processing Based on IP & AS
IP Exceptions
This rule allows excluding traffic for specific IP addresses or IP-prefix from processing. These addresses are added to the custom AS Bypass.
AS Bypass is a list of IP-prefix that are excluded from processing (software Bypass), and statistics are not transmitted. The IP-prefix can include both internal and external IP addresses. Matches are checked in each session for both IPdst and IPsrc.
The rule applies to all traffic and all channels and subscribers.
The DPI assigns the tag pass
to AS Bypass.
To create a rule, go to the section IP & AS Excludes → IP Excludes:
AS Number Exceptions
This rule allows excluding traffic for specific AS numbers.
Matches are checked in each session for both IPdst and IPsrc.
The rule applies to all traffic and all channels and subscribers.
The DPI assigns the tag pass
to the specified AS numbers.
Add AS numbers to the lists, and all traffic from these ASNs will pass without processing.

VIP Subscribers
VIP Subscriber — a special subscriber whose traffic is transmitted with a dedicated priority (default cs0
) regardless of priority settings for application protocols. The dedicated priority is set in the configuration file by the parameter special_dscp
.
Privileges: Unrestricted access to applications and resources with usage restrictions.
The priority markup assigned to the entire DPI does not affect the VIP Subscriber.
Add the subscriber’s Login or IP to the list, and traffic for this subscriber will pass without restrictions.
