Development Plans for 2022
- Various IPv6 prefix length support (currently /64 only)
- Diameter protocol support (Gx, Gy, Gz interfaces)
- Subscriber quota management (based on PCRF)
- MITM mechanism implementation
- 5G network core support
- Support for EAP-SIM in WLAN networks
- Improving services: DDoS, Botnet, SPAM detection
- Improving the custom signature service
- Product development for corporate clients: optimization of installation and resource requirements.
Development Plans for 2021
- Routing. BGP, OSPF protocol support
- Signatures SDK and definition by SNI (HTTPS) and hostname (HTTP) as a service
- Configurable WEB-resources classifier
Due to the fact that Red Hat announced the early end of CentOS 8 support by the end of 2021, VAS Experts is working on a strategy to continue using CentOS as a Control Plane. Of the different options at this stage, the following are preferable:
- Join the initiative of the CentOS project founder Gregory Kurtzer, who intends to create a new rebuild of RHEL called Rocky Linux
- Migrate to CentOS 8 Stream with limited updates that are included in the official Red Hat.
The transition to the new version of the OS is planned as a regular update (without reinstallation).
We will certainly notify you of the decision made and describe it in the documentation.
