DPI configuration

Export setting

Platform DPI version not lower than 8.1.

The ipfix export can be configured by directly editing the fastdpi.conf file on DPI.

netflow=8
netflow_dev=em1
netflow_timeout=10
netflow_full_collector_type=2
netflow_full_port_swap=0
netflow_full_collector=YOUR_QOESTOR_IP:1500
ipfix_dev=em1
ipfix_tcp_collectors=YOUR_QOESTOR_IP:1501

You will need to restart fastdpi for the changes to take effect.

Note that the netflow parameter is a bit mask. Allows several different values. For more details see here Configuring IPFIX export

Also you can do customization using DPIUI2 - dpiui2 . Dpiui2 version must be at least 2.1.0.

To configure using DPIUI2, go to DPI Control → Configuration. Open the Collect and analyze statistics by protocols and directions tab.

Set the neflow parameter to Export full session statistics. See fig. below.

Enter the receiver's fullflow socket in the netflow_full_collector parameter. The netflow_full_collector_type parameter must be set to "Export ipfix to udp collector" and leave the netflow_full_port_swap parameter empty or equal to "Keep original port numbers". See fig. below.

Enter the receiver's clickstream socket in the ipfix_udp_collectors parameter. See fig. below.

Click Save. Restart fast_dpi. See fig. below.

Assigning a DPI number

Open the Hardware Management → Hardware section. For each device, enter an Id on the ipfix collector. See fig. below.
