====== Installing driver updates ======

If hardware support errors occur during installation, the Driver Update Disk must be loaded when the installer loads:
- Find the DUD for your controller version here — https://elrepo.org/linux/dud/el8/x86_64/
- Download the DUD ISO and mount it on the server.
- Add ''inst.dd'' to the boot line of the VEOS installer to force scanning of additional drivers.
- Go through the driver connection procedure.
- When the driver is loaded, continue with the normal installation process.

==== List of equipment whose drivers have been removed from VEOS ====
VEOS is based on RedHat EL8, so it lacks all drivers removed from RedHat EL8. This [[https://access.redhat.com/documentation/en-us/red_hat_enterprise_linux/8/html/considerations_in_adopting_rhel_8/hardware-enablement_considerations-in-adopting-rhel-8#removed-adapters_hardware-enablement|link]] provides a list of hardware that is not supported in VEOS.
